I’ve been in Bachmanns corner throughout the ups and downs and thought she was one of the only Conservatives sticking up for the American people! Boy was I wrong! Just goes to show you how power corrupts and she knows she has got an in with the GOP now! They didn’t seem to back her in the last election but sure as heck will now! It’s all about power for themselves and is like a chess game being played!

Pelosi would never have won, because she could not possibly get 218 votes in the GOP-controlled House. By contrast, Boehner’s failure to win would have forced Republicans to solidify around another candidate – any other candidate. In fact, even a Boehner clone would have been better, because he would know going in that the only reason why he’s there is because Boehner was not conservative enough. Any other Speaker would know that he was there, only because of the TEA Party and that if he played Boehner’s games, he wouldn’t last in the position. It wouldn’t be the best solution. A truly conservative Speaker would be better. But in Congress, FEAR of losing power is a great motivator.

I am more than just disappointed with Bachmann. It’s now clear that “The GOP Establishment” has finally got to her, so it’s time for her to go.

I’ll also be actively campaigning against my congresscritter (Brady-TX), in the next election. Heck, I may even run for his seat. It’s critical that we send those who voted for Boehner a message in 2014, by unseating as many of them as possible and replacing them with conservatives. Sure, we won’t be able to replace them all. But I refer you to my previous statement. FEAR of losing power in two more years will keep the rest in line.
