William Warren

William Warren is a graduate of Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, North Carolina where he drew the editorial cartoons and comic strips for The Old Gold and Black, the University’s student newspaper. He majored in political science and minored in studio art. William has been drawing cartoons for his school newspaper since 5th grade and drew his first editorial cartoon in the 9th grade. Although a born and raised native of Atlanta, Georgia, William currently lives in Atlanta, GA. William is also a member of the AAEC, the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists.

William’s cartoon “360 Degree Coverage” was selected for the back cover of the 2009 edition of “Best Editorial Cartoons of the Year” by Pelican Publishing Company.William was also named the winner of the Charles M. Schulz Award, the Scripps Howard Foundation’s National Journalism Award for college cartoonists.
